How Many Holes Do You See in This T-Shirt?

This orange T-shirt looks like a simple picture, but it has sparked a surprisingly large debate online. At first glance, many people quickly choose an answer, only to discover that others see a completely different number of holes. Some viewers believe there are only **two holes**, while others count **four, six, eight, or even more**, making the image much more confusing than it first appears.

The disagreement mainly comes from how people define a “hole.” If you count only the ripped or damaged sections of the shirt, you may arrive at a smaller number. However, if you also count the neck, sleeves, bottom opening, and areas where you can see through the back of the shirt, the total changes. In other words, the answer depends on which openings you believe should be included.

The most common answer is **eight holes**, although there is no universal answer unless everyone follows exactly the same counting rules. This is what makes the puzzle so interesting: two people can look at the same T-shirt and honestly come up with different answers simply because they are counting different types of openings.

Some people focus only on the visible tears, while others look at the entire structure of the shirt and include every opening that allows something to pass through. Once you start considering both sides of the fabric and the regular openings of the shirt, the puzzle becomes much harder than it initially seems.

Now take another careful look at the orange T-shirt before deciding on your answer. Try counting the ripped areas first, then consider the neck, sleeves, bottom, and openings visible through the back. **How many holes do you see?**
