Here are all the celebrities who have spoken out against Trump’s Iran war

Many celebrities reacted strongly online after the U.S. and Israel carried out military strikes against Iran. Their posts show deep concern about President Trump’s actions and what it means for global conflict and leadership.

Musician Jack White took to Instagram to mock President Trump’s war posture. He wrote, “Don’t you love seeing him declare war on a country while wearing a trucker hat that says ‘USA’ on it?” and sarcastically added, “Behold the leader of the ‘Board of Peace.’” He also questioned the human cost of war with, “Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference right?”

Rosie O’Donnell used social media to criticize what she sees as broken promises. In a post she said simply: “he lies only and always #impeachtrump,” highlighting quotes from Trump’s campaign about being a “candidate of peace” and promising not to start wars.

Other well‑known figures also weighed in. Actress Carrie Coon wrote, “’Department of War.’ They weren’t kidding about that,” reflecting alarm at the new tone of U.S. military engagement. Actor John Cusack claimed the conflict was a distraction, tweeting that Trump “starts a wag the dog war – to distract from Epstein…” and activist Mark Ruffalo criticized the roles of advisers, saying a key negotiator was sent “to make sure we went to war.”

These celebrity reactions reflect a broader split in public opinion. Some see the strikes as necessary for security, while others view them as a dangerous escalation that betrays promises of peace and risks a larger conflict in the Middle East.
