Theodore Sloan, the lawyer Walter had trusted for years, arrived at Gloria’s home with a folder. Bianca became nervous, while Kevin looked uncomfortable. Theodore explained that he had handled Gloria and Walter’s legal documents and wanted everything done properly. The documents revealed a power of attorney that would give Kevin control over Gloria’s finances, a house listing prepared at an extremely low price, and an admission form for a care facility Gloria had never agreed to enter. She read their own words back to them, including their plans involving medical forms, cleaning her glasses, the supposed lake trip, and the boat.
