However, soil moisture matters. If the ground is too wet, rolling can cause excessive compaction and damage soil structure. If it is too dry, the roller may not smooth the surface effectively. Slightly moist soil is generally ideal. With proper use and basic maintenance, this rugged tool can remain useful for many years.
